Hey! I’m thinking about coming to Vienna. I don’t speak German but I would like to learn it ( I speak English, French and Spanish). If the list of companies that operate in English is still available, I would also like to take a look. Could you please send it to me? It would really help a lot.

Hey! I’m about to get married and move to Vienna with my Persian born/German bred husband and I’m freaking out a bit at the idea but your blog is really helping me out. I’ve been reading a bit each night like a story, its really wonderful. Thanks for starting this really. It makes a noobie like me feel reassured. If you still have that list lying around I would love to glance at it! If you don’t thanks just the same for a snazz blog.

Hi there, I’ve been living in Vienna for a few years now and have gotten to the point where I think I would like to work (have been in the happy position of not needing to as I am a trailing spouse to my working husband). My wife is Austrian and we are moving to Vienna from New Zealand in a couple of months.

Thanks so much, Britta — this is a great blog, and a big help. Would you be willing to share your list of companies? I will be coming to Austria next year, and definitely need to find work. My German is passable, but not good enough for professional life…. All help so much appreciated!

I think I might get the title of newest American in Vienna. 20 days here so far! I am married to a Bosnian but we didn’t like there so we are checking out Austria. He had lots of family here! I speak almost no German but learn quickly. I know Spanish and Bosnian. I would love it if you could share your list with me. I want to get a jump start since I have heard over and over how hard it is to get a job here. Thank goodness for people like you who share their experiences. Austria and North Dakota are too darn similar so far!
